A better life can only be built together and for all of us, which is why it is created with respect for nature. We provide naturally better heat and electricity for people’s and businesses’ everyday life. We are present in both small and big moments that together form a better life.
The current strategy of Pori Energia is summed up in the slogan “A better life through sustainable energy,” and it is implemented through three main themes: growth through sustainable customer solutions, a next-generation energy system, and a team of future builders.
1. Growth through sustainable customer solutions
Pori Energia seeks growth by offering customers cost-efficient, low-emission, and flexible energy solutions. The focus is especially on energy and waste heat solutions for industry and urban development, as well as new business opportunities such as supporting data centers and other energy-efficient industries. The aim is also to strengthen customer experience and long-term partnerships.
2. A next-generation energy system
At the core of the strategy is a flexible and low-carbon energy system that can withstand market fluctuations and support the energy transition. This includes increasing the share of renewable energy, utilizing electric boilers, energy storage systems and other flexibility solutions, improving the use of waste heat and sector coupling, as well as ensuring supply reliability and predictability for customers.
An example of this is the 45 MW electric boiler built at the Aittaluoto power plant, which enables flexible response to electricity market conditions.

Pori Energia emphasizes strategically skilled personnel, safety, and responsible leadership. The goal is to strengthen managerial work and employee well-being, develop a strong safety culture, and ensure that personnel have the competencies needed for future energy solutions.
